Charlie Crist's Wife Now A Democrat
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – Former Republican Governor Charlie Crist saw his wife join him in being a former Republican last week.
Crist's wife, Carole, changed her voter registration last week and is now a registered Democrat. Charlie Crist remains registered with no party affiliation.
Crist said he intends to remain without a party after he left the Republican Party in 2010 as the tea party took the GOP on a hard turn to the right.
Crist said his wife is "independent minded and very bright" and said she feels more comfortable in the Democratic Party.
