Boil Water Order Lifted For Parts Of Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – The City of Fort Lauderdale Public Works Department has lifted the precautionary boil water order enacted after an 8-inch water main broke.

The water main burst Wednesday morning at Powerline Road and NW 16th Street. Water gushed for hours, which flooded the area and left around 50 homes without water. Water was restored the next day, but the boil water order was placed on:

- Properties facing Powerline Road (N.W. 9th Avenue) from N.W. 19th Street to N.W. 13th Street

- Properties facing N.W. 16th Street from Powerline Road to N.W. 12 Avenue
