Miami Nightclub Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 6 Injured

MIAMI (CBS4) – A shooting inside a crowded Miami nightclub ended with six people hurt and one person dead.

Miami police say the incident happened Sunday shortly after 3 a.m. at Club Nocturnal, located at 50 NE 11st Street.

According to investigators, several people inside the club began arguing and minutes later, shots were fired.

Seven people were struck. In fear for their lives, hundreds of people from inside the club began running out front and exit doors.

Five people with non-life-threatening injuries were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. Another wounded person was taken there by friends.

Police have identified 26-year-old Brandon Marquis McGhee as the young man who was killed.

No arrests have been made.

Detectives are looking to speak with witnesses, many of which ran out of the club in panic after hearing the gunfire. They are asking anyone with information to contact homicide detectives at (305) 603-6350 or Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
