Blood Drive Underway To Honor 9/11 Victims

MIAMI (CBS4) – On the eve of the tenth anniversary of the September 11th attacks, South Florida's Muslim community is taking part in nationwide blood drive.

The "Muslims for Life" campaign was launched by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to honor the victims of 9/11 and spread the message that Islam emphasizes the sanctity of life.

Their goal is to collect 10,000 unit of blood by September 11th.

The blood drives will take place at:

Hallandale Beach Cultural Center

Sept. 11th
Yellow Green Farmers Market
