Family Wants Answers In Shooting Of Mom, Son

NW MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) – Family and friends of a NW Miami-Dade teen who was gunned down over the weekend while helping his mother getting a restaurant ready to open want answers as to who could do such a thing and why.

Raul Partridge, 19, and his mother Lutricia Allen were renovating the building on NW 58th Street and 22nd Avenue on Sunday afternoon when they were shot. Partridge was killed, his mother remains hospitalized. The gunman, or gunmen, is still on the loose.

Police are not sure what led up to the shooting, but family members believe Allen and her son were targeted.

Allen was known as an entrepreneur, a community member, a woman who created jobs in the community. Allen owns several businesses in the neighborhood.

Neighbors said Patridge spent a lot of time with his family. "It's sad because he was such a good kid," said Jessica Lami who lives across the street.

Miami-Dade police are asking anyone with information to come forward. Call crime stoppers
305-471-TIPS.
