Car Struck, Killed A Man At Doral Bus Stop
DORAL (CBS4) - Miami-Dade Police homicide detectives are investigating a violent crash at a Doral bus stop that left a man dead.
City of Doral spokesperson Natalie French said a woman driving a silver Ford Mustang careened into a bus stop in front of Miami International Mall at 1455 NW 107th Avenue, killing a man who was sitting on a bus bench.
The man was pronounced dead on the scene. His wife, who was sitting next to him on the bench, was able to move out of the way of the oncoming car and escaped injury.
Authorities say the driver was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of 107th Avenue just before the accident.
It is not clear if the driver was impaired. Detectives tell CBS4's Natalia Zea that the woman is being questioned and will undergo test to determine if she was under the influence.
