MIAMI (CBS4)- Tropical Storm Harvey has made landfall over Belize and is weakening as it heads to northern Guatemala.

The U.S. National Hurricane Center in Miami said Saturday that Harvey was centered about 45 miles (72 kilometers) south of Belize City, moving west-northwest at about 13 mph (21 kph). Maximum sustained winds were 50 mph (80 kph), down from 60 mph (97 kph) when it made landfall.

The storm is expected to bring as much as 6 inches of rain to parts of Honduras, Guatemala, Belize and Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. Forecasters say flash floods and mudslides are possible.
