Tropical Depression #8 Forms In Western Caribbean
MIAMI (CBS4) - The National Hurricane center is closely monitoring Tropical Depression 8 which formed Thursday night in the Western Caribbean.
As of 11 p.m., TD 8 was located about 80 miles east-northeast Cabo Gracia A Dios on the Nicaragua/Honduras Border with maximum sustained winds of 35 miles per hour.
The storm was moving to the west at 12 miles per hour and is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm on Friday.
The government of Guatemala has issued a tropical storm watch for the coast.
Tropical storm force winds are also possible along the north coast of Honduras and the Bay Islands.
