Apes Invade, Ke$ha Tik Toks & Animals Entertain This Weekend

MIAMI (CBS4)- There's lots to do across South Florida this weekend. Head to the theatres for an updated look in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, party in concert with Ke$ha and mellow down with some free zen-like yoga.

The Apes are rising in theatres this weekend. In the precursor to the famous chimp movies, Rise of the Planet of the Apes takes you to the origin of the story where genetic engineering leads to the intelligence of apes and a battle for the world. Rise of the Planet of the Apes is rated PG-13.

Ke$ha is singing her way to sleazy on her Get Sleazy Tour coming to the Bayfront Park Amphitheatre Sunday night. You can watch the eccentric singer belt out her famous songs "We Are Who We Are" and "Tik Tok." She takes the stage at 7:30 p.m.

The Museum of Discovery and Science is giving you a chance to get up close and personal with rare reptiles, exotic birds and even hissing cockroaches. Meet the Animals Day is Saturday and Sunday in Fort Lauderdale. You can get face-to-face with the animals from noon to 4 p.m.

Want a more relaxing way to spend your weekend? Stretch, breathe, and center yourself at free yoga classes! Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami and Flamingo Park on Miami Beach are hosting free classes Saturday. You can start feeling more zen at 9 a.m. when the yoga classes begin.
