Burn Twice The Fat In Half The Time

MIAMI BEACH (CBS4) - We all need to find time to stay healthy and a lot of that is exercise, but we all don't have time for an hour long workout. Thanks to Crunch fitness, 30 minutes is all you need to get in shape for the summer.

CBS4's Jorge Estevez paid a visit to Miami Beach's Crunch location to test out how gym goers are getting double the workout in half the time.

There's no need for fancy machines, these classes simply require you to use your own body weight to burn fat.

"We are trying to make innovative workouts that keep you interested because God knows we lose interest after 30 minutes," said Roya Searapore, the fitness director for Crunch fitness who assisted in the creation of almost a dozen 30-minute workouts that focus on intensity not time.

Most importantly, the moves you learn in a class can be replicated at home: walking squats with a walk out push up, a walkout side push up, side crab walks, or the spider man move. All of these moves require nothing but your body and the willingness to burn up a sweat.

"An hour is a lot of time and you don't need that if you work 30 minutes at highest capacity," said Searapore.

"Rear Attitude," just one of the 30-minute classes focuses on your derrière with group lunges in a roman army type of formation. In unison the "Rear Attitude" class performs side-kick lunges, backward side-kick lunges and a little ab work for fun.

"If you have to get it in quick it is perfect because you get it in, in 30 minutes," said Jovan Gatto, a Crunch member.

There's also "Ripped Rotation," a series of full body moves, which uses a free weight and gravity to give your mid-section a workout, another concept that can be mimicked at home.

"As long as you are working the full body and burn as many calories as you can using those large muscle groups that helps," said Reema Ishteiwi, Crunch member.
