Pompano Bridge Closure Postponed Over Weather
POMPANO BEACH (CBS4) - A scheduled closing of a Pompano Beach bridge Friday night has been posponed because of the weather.
The Northeast 14th Street Causeway Bridge was set to be closed from 7 p.m. on Friday through 7 a.m. on Saturday for filming of the A&E TV show "The Glades, according to the Sun Sentinel.
But the rescheduled closing is now set for Thursday, July 14. The bridge will be closed to all vehicles, pedestrians and bicycles from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. Friday.
Alternate routes include the Atlantic Boulevard Bridge to the south and the Hillsboro Boulevard Bridge to the north.
"The Glades" tells the story of a homicide detective from Chicago who relocates to the fictional town of Palm Glad, outside of the Florida Everglades.
