Miami Beach Waitress Allegedly Pocketed Customers' Cash Payments
MIAMI BEACH - (CBS4) - A former Miami Beach waitress at Norman's Bar faced a bond court judge Friday accused of charging credit cards illegally, while pocketing cash from other customers.
Police say Danielle Kean, 21, of North Bay Village, would charge other customers' credit cards for bills paid with cash. She would then pocket cash from those customers.
In the course of a month, she pocketed about $1,000, police said. Danielle has promised to return the money to her former employer, the police report states.
Police say Kean also gave police a sworn taped statement about her actions. The restaurant has since credited customers' credit cards that were ripped off in the scheme.
The judge released her on a pre-trial program.
