Driver Hurt In Suspected Drag Race In The Gables
CORAL GABLES (CBS4) - The driver of a Ford Mustang was rushed to the hospital early Sunday morning after the car slammed into a tree during an apparent drag race in Coral Gables.
The crash happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the 13 hundred block of South Dixie Highway. Witnesses told police the Mustang and a black sports car were racing south down the highway when the driver of the Ford lost control and crashed into a several palm trees in the median, according to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald.
The injured driver was taken to the Ryder Trauma Center and is listed as stable.
