Barkley Takes Aim At Miami Again

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – During the Eastern Conference Finals, former NBA star and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley needled the fans in Miami and the fans let him have it outside the AmericanAirlines Arena.

After his latest rant about Miami Heat fans, it's probably safe to say that he shouldn't walk around at the AAA without some security surrounding him.

Barkley has already called the Miami Heat a "whiny bunch," but he turned his attention to Heat fans on ESPN 1000 in Chicago Wednesday afternoon.

"Yeah they (Miami Heat) got the worst fans. No question. It's not even loud in there," Barkley said. "You're at the game and you are like, 'Man this place isn't even loud.' At least when you go to Chicago, it's loud in there, it's crazy down in Dallas, but it's not even loud in Miami's arena."

Barkley is doing his job in making the comments. His job is to rub people the wrong-way, create controversy, and then watch the ratings soar. He's not been a fan of the Heat since LeBron joined the team, so Heat fans shouldn't expect anything but that and more from Barkley.

Nevertheless, it's also throwing down the gauntlet to fans of the Miami Heat who will be at the AmericanAirlines Arena Sunday night. The only question is will the Heat fans prove Barkley wrong?
