Dade Medical College Gives Homestead High A Hand
HOMESTEAD (CBS4) - There are only a few days left in the current school year, but students at Homestead High School will end the year on a high note thanks to the generosity of a Miami-Dade business that could offer some of them the next stop toward their future.
Dade Medical College, which offers programs in medical specialties all the way to a degree in nursing, donated $5 thousand to Homestead High School Friday as part of the college's Adopt-A-School program.
The funds will help out the high school's nursing program and students.
As part of that program, Dade Medical College makes donations to 6 area high schools every year.
Dade Medical college was formed in 1999, and has grown to four campuses, including one in Homestead.
