Driver Survives Watery Crash Into Murky Opa-Locka Canal

OPA-LOCKA (CBS4) – The driver of a car, who apparently swerved to avoid a collision in Opa-Locka, ended up careening into a murky canal instead.

According to police on the scene, the driver of a white car swerved to avoid being hit by a pick-up truck which had run a stop sign at Atlantic Avenue and Sesame Street.

The white car ended up submerged in the canal but luckily, the driver managed to get out.

It's unknown whether the driver was hurt or whether the pick-up truck driver stopped.
