Miami Beach PD Seek Dumpster Arsonist

MIAMI BEACH - (CBS4) - Miami Beach police are searching for an arsonist who has been setting dumpsters on fire and now police are asking for the public's help in finding the culprit.

Police say the first two reported incidents occurred on April 14th near the 7700 blocks of Abbott and Byron avenues.

Police believe the same person may be responsible for all the fires including the ones at these locations:

April 24th at 9:41 p.m. at 6550 Collins Ave.

April 25th at 9:30 a.m. at 7720 Tatum Waterway

April 26th at 10:20 p.m. at 22nd Street & Collins Ave.

A witness who saw the person described him as a very tan, white Latin man believed to be in his mid-30s with a height of about 5-feet, 7-inches with close cropped black hair. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and jean shorts and carried a black backpack.
