Jet Makes Belly Landing At Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport

FORT LAUDERDALE - (CBS4) - A business jet made a safe landing following some scary moments minutes before it arrived into Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport Saturday afternoon.

The problems began at 2 p.m. when the pilot of a six-passenger jet was forced to land without the landing gear.

"The pilot made the landing without the landing gear, which is called a belly landing," said Fort Lauderdale spokesman Chaz Adams. "There were no injuries."

None of the passengers onboard the Sabreliner jet were injured, said Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue spokesman Matt Little. It was not immediately known where the jet took off from.
