2 Injured, Lanes Reopen After Boat Flips On I-95

POMPANO BEACH (CBS4) -- All lanes have reopened at the crash scene where a pickup truck towing a boat crashed on I-95 causing the boat to detach from its hitch and land in the opposite lanes of traffic.

The crash took place in the southbound lanes of I-95 at Sample Road. After the truck crashed, the boat flipped over the concrete median and landed in the northbound lanes.

The impact knocked down a light pole, striking a southbound pickup truck.

One person was pulled from the mangled wreckage of the truck.

Traffic was partially blocked for hours in both the northbound and southbound lanes near the Sample Road exit. There were huge delays in both directions.

Both pickup truck drivers were taken to North Broward Medical Center with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
