Fire Sends Two Weston Kids To Hospital
WESTON (CBSMiami.com) - Two Weston children made a quick trip to the hospital Saturday afternoon, after a fire in their townhouse caused some heavy smoke.
Broward Sheriff's Office Fire Rescue was called to the townhouse in the 1400 block of Cordoba Bend shortly after 12 p.m.
When they arrived, they made quick work of what appeared to be a grease fire in a pan on the stove.
Two children in the home, Ages 10 and 12, were taken by paramedics to Memorial Hospital West for treatment. Broward County Sheriff Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles said the injuries are not considered life threatening.
The fire is under investigation by The Broward Sheriff Fire Marshal's Bureau
