Thousands Of Ikea Coffee Makers Recalled

MIAMI (CBS4) - IKEA Home Furnishings is recalling nearly 100,000 coffee makers over a laceration and burn hazard, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced Thursday.

The company says they have received at least one complaint about the FÖRSTÅ Coffee/Tea Makers in the U.S. and 19 outside of the U.S.

The coffee maker as the potential to break, possibly burning or cutting the person using it.

IKEA has received reports of 12 burn injuries and one laceration.

The coffee and tea makers included in the recall are the 0.4 and 1 liter sizes. They have a supplier number 20325, along with the words "IKEA" and "Made in China" etched on the bottom of the metal holder.

The company is urging anyone who own the FÖRSTÅ Coffee/Tea Maker to immediately stop using it and return the product to any IKEA store for a full refund.
