Pill Mill Tip Line Activated

Got the goods on a suspected pill mill? The DEA wants to hear from you.

The Drug Enforcement Administration announced today that following their massive crackdown on rogue pain clinics last week in Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties they received a number of phone calls from the public regarding suspected pill mills in their neighborhoods.

The DEA wants community members to call a 24-hour tip line at 888-954-4662 with information. Residents can also send an email to Florida.Pill.Mill.Tips@USDOJ.GOV.

The DEA is asking for callers or emailers to leave their contact information along with the names of doctors or clinics they are calling about.

Last week, the DEA along with state and local authorities busted 7 people and raided 11 suspected pill mills in South Florida. Officials say they expect many more arrests and closures of "rogue" pain clinics in the coming weeks and months.
