Bomb Threat Causes Plane To Return To Airport
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – A note found on a Spirit Airline flight out of Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport has caused the plane to return to the terminal Saturday.
Flight 230 headed from Fort Lauderdale to Atlanta returned to the gate and all passengers have been removed from the plane after a note claiming a bomb was on board was found, according to Airport spokesman Greg Myers.
The threat was written on a magazine, said Broward Sheriff's Office Spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion.
BSO's bomb squad thoroughly searched the plane as a precaution, she said.
