Davie Phone, Internet Service Restoration May Take A Week

DAVIE (CBS4) -Ongoing construction on I-595 left several Davie residents without phone or Internet service, and it could take up to seven days to fix.

Davie town officials say construction workers inadvertently cut two AT&T cables Wednesday afternoon, which resulted in the loss of phone and internet services for as many as 3,800 customers in the Pine Island Ridge and Park City West area.

Because of the outage, the Davie Police Department has station officers at the Pine Island Ridge Country Club and the Park City West Community Center to assist residents with whatever they need.

The provider says it is working around the clock to restore service to the affected areas and is asking for subscriber's patience while they work.
