Young Girl Struck By Car Dies On Christmas Eve

NORTH LAUDERDALE (CBS4) – Little Francesca Moise died Christmas Eve after being struck Wednesday by a hit-and-run driver.

The 7-year-old was walking in the 7300 block of Tam O'Shanter Boulevard, on her way to do last minute Christmas shopping at the Swap Shop with her mother and siblings when she was hit by a white and black Acura Integra.

The car's driver drove onto the grass, struck her down and then sped away afterwards, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office. It was later found behind a Lauderhill warehouse with evidence it had hit something.

Moise suffered severe head injuries and slipped into a coma, according to her father, Pierre Moise, who asked the public for prayers Thursday as his daughter lay in a Broward General Medical Center hospital bed.

Moise said he couldn't believe what happened.

"That's crazy. That's crazy. I don't understand that," he said. "That's my life…that's my daughter. I spend my life with family."

If you have any information about this accident please call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
