Twitter Users Wish For Companionship

MIAMI (CBS4) - The social networking phenomenon was supposed to keep you in touch with your friends and reconnect with old friends. But, as Christmas nears, it seems that most Twitter users just want a little companionship for Christmas.

An analysis of holiday-themed Twitter messages revealed that "You" was the most common Christmas wish in more than 177,000 tweets.

Coming in a distant second, except for pre-teen and teenage girls, was singer/performer Justin Bieber. He was followed by the word "hippo," and the phrase, "my 2 front teeth," which are both references to Christmas songs.

Outside of relationships, there were a lot of wishes for consumer goods with Apple iPads, iPods, and iPhones topping many Christmas wish lists.
