Surveillance Cameras Capture Alleged TV Thief

HIALEAH - (CBS4) - A man who attempted to pry a flat screen TV from a Hialeah assisted living facility didn't count on surveillance cameras capturing him, Hialeah police said.

Eduardo Cumba Zorilla, 18, appeared before a bond court judge Thursday and was released, but will be required to appear before a judge in 21 days.

Hialeah police say Zorilla was quickly identified  because the facility known as Revival Homes Assisted Living Facility at 68 W. 7th St. had installed surveillance equipment.  Zorilla is charged with burglary and criminal mischief.

According to police, Zorilla was "unable to remove it from the wall. The defendant was unable to remove the TV and therefore fled the same way he entered."
