The Ultimate Fan Experience
CBSMiami.com along with South Florida Honda Dealers put together the Ultimate Fan Experience for two lucky winners to go to an NFL game and have an experience like no other during the preseason. The first winners was a mother and her son, both huge fans of the Miami Dolphins who had never been to a Dolphins game before. After winning the Ultimate Fan Experience, Cari Lara and her son Angel had so much fun they called it a day they will remember forever.
Angel Talks About His Ultimate Fan Experience:
“My day at the Dolphins game was the most amazing experience I have ever had. Me and my mom got the chance to see my favorite football team in the world. I was standing right next to some of my favorite players. It was so much fun.
I always only get to see them on TV. The Dolphins are the greatest players in the world not just because I’m from Miami but because there all really nice guys.
The players let me watch them right from the field I never thought that I could ever get that close to them.
I want to thank the entire CBS4 news team and the Honda dealers for giving me the best day if my life.
Jason (Mizrachi) and Tim (Kephart) are very nice guys. They made me feel like I was apart of there team. They made my mom very happy because she works really hard and always wanted to do something special with me, but we could never afford to do them.
But Saturday, we had that chance to be together and do something really cool. Thank you Tim and Jason for giving me and my mom a day that we will remember for ever.”
Cari Talks About Her Experience As The Ultimate Fan:
“Hello Jason, Tim and the entire CBS team.
I want to thank you all for the Ultimate Fan Experience of a lifetime. Words cannot begin to express how very grateful I am for all that you have given me and my son. This will be a memory that I will cherish forever. I am forever in your debt.
You guys have given me and my son a gift that will carry on for years to come. We met so many incredible people and had by far the most amazing time.
Not only did I learn a lot about our incredible football team, but I also had the chance to experience it off the sidelines!
You guys rock in more ways then one!! May god continue to bless you all and your beautiful families.”
Here’s a video that show a little bit of what Cari and Angel experienced during the Ultimate Fan Experience presented by South Florida Honda and CBSMiami.com.
Amanda & James Pike Share Their Ultimate Fan Experience:
Our experience with CBS 4 at the Dolphins’ final pre-season game vs the Saints on August 29th could only be described as Once-In-A-Lifetime. Having attended numerous Dolphins, ‘Canes, and Gator games at Sun-Life Stadium, it was incredible to not only see the tunnels and sidelines most fans will never set foot on, but also get a back-stage pass to CBS’s production trailer to see how much work goes into producing the game for TV.
James: As an engineer, I was fascinated by all the monitors and technology packed into CBS’s mobile studio, as well as the intricate coordination required to create even the basic scoreboards and screen transitions we see during every game.
It was also huge rush to step out onto the field with my wife and get a whole different perspective of the crazy face-painted fans and the gigantic players I’ve rooted for since they were freshmen in college.
Tim was especially great, pointing out some of our favorite players for us, giving us great back-stories on some of the rookies, and ensuring we got the VIP treatment.
Amanda: As an art therapist, I love all things creative. I didn’t expect that I would encounter what I love most at a football game, but I did. Seeing the production crew slice and dice, the cheerleaders coordinate, and the crazy side-liners in full get-up was really fun.
Actually since the game, I’ve enjoyed hearing more about football; I find myself perking up at a description of stats, feeling my mood bubble up at background noises full of whistles, grunts, and cheers and most of all, hearing my hubby try to explain the game to me… yet again.
Going from artist to football fan is not an easy transition, but Miami just may win this artsy fartsy type over. I’m looking forward to this Saturday’s UF / UM game. I’ll be there with bells on and pig tails! Go go go! I have CBS to thank for showing me the loveable qualities of a contact sport.
We can’t thank CBS4, South Florida Honda, and the team enough for the opportunity to be ultimate fans for the day!!!
