The Ultimate Fan Experience: 2016
For the fourth year in a row, CBS Miami and South Florida Honda Dealers teamed up to create the Ultimate Fan Experience. One lucky winner was selected to attend a Miami Dolphins game and have an experience that’s completely unique and extraordinary. This year’s winner was Mirta and she couldn’t wait to bring her husband Chris to the newly renovated Hard Rock Stadium to share the amazing time. Following the game, Mirta documented her experience and gave detail into all the fun she and her husband had during their Ultimate Fan Experience:
Mirta and Chris Couldn’t Have Asked For A Better Ultimate Fan Experience
As we arrived to the parking lot we were amazed at the new look of the stadium. Then when we found our parking and were amazed at how close the entrance was. As we proceeded to enter we saw all the enthusiasm of the other fans and the Dolphins employees that were greeting every fan with beads and bracelets.
There was an area set up were fans could take a shot at throwing a football or making a winning punt, which it is not as easy as they make it look on TV. We saw the Dolphins Store and other tents from other sponsors and radio stations doing raffles and The Dolphins foundation taking donations.
We contacted David Dwork, sports lead for CBS Miami, who was our tour guide. First, we got our credentials and went to see were the magic of putting the game on TV was done in the production trailer.
We met many of the hidden faces that make our experience at home great. Then, we went to the VIP areas, passed by the locker room and went onto the field just like the players do.
It was quite an experience to see how different it looks on the sidelines and being close to the players and coaches as they practice before the game.
Also, many fans trying to get a picture or autograph of their favorite players, which the players were more than happy to do.
We went to our seats which were in the 100 level so close to the field and now with the new renovations to the stadium were covered from rain, which is a plus.
The announcer came on to start the game. Everything was great from the introduction of the teams to the signing of the national anthem to the game the food and of course the cheerleaders that kept the enthusiasm going for the fans.
Even though the Dolphins put effort in the game, it did not go well against the Titans, but we have faith and it is only the beginning of the season.
Thank you to the South Florida Honda Dealers and CBS4 for producing the Ultimate Fan Experience Contest and allowing a lucky fan like me that otherwise would not be able to see the magic of all facets of the putting on the game for us the fans.
