South Florida has its share of comedic venues. There's always a rising star or a familiar favorite looking to claim the mic and take the stage to a chorus of applause. The recent lineup includes up-and-comers, comedic duos and three living legends. The comedy itself is just as diverse with some comedians preferring raunch while others opt for family-friendly humor and neurotic diatribes. Attend all five events or just see one show. Either way, you won't want to miss it when comedic greatness graces South Florida.

Amy Schumer has quickly risen from unknown to the big leagues thanks to a national debut on the fifth season of NBC's "Last Comic Standing" and a series of Comedy Central Roasts that prove that she can jab with the best of them. Last year, her one-hour Comedy Central standup show, "Mostly Sex Stuff," generated the second highest ratings for Comedy Central and now she follows it up with Amy Schumer's Back Door Tour. Like most of Schumer's shows, her delivery of sexual innuendoes is the equivalent of listening to a good girl with a dirty secret. Show up and be prepared to laugh at this disarming brand of comedy.

Shawn and Marlon Wayans are part of the first generation of a comedy dynasty that has entertained audiences for years with a satirical take on urban and pop culture and comedic spoofs of the horror genre. They began their career with small parts in films produced and staring their older siblings Keenen Ivory Wayans and Damon Wayans, and eventually struck out on their own starring in the WB show, "The Wayans Bros." However, most will recognize them as the writers and stars of the successful "Scary Movie" franchise, "A Haunted House" and "White Chicks." Now you can see them in person at the Fort Lauderdale Improv as Marlon plays the funny man to Shawn's straight man. Tickets are just $35, so get them fast before they sell out.
