The three day weekend Memorial Day brings is the perfect opportunity to spend some quality family time. South Florida has no shortage of family friendly events happening Memorial Day weekend. From beach parties, to tea parties and hero remembrance celebrations this list of the top five memorial Day events is sure to be a hit with the entire family. This free event is sure to be a hit with the entire family and a great way to start Memorial Day weekend. From live bands, including Sister Hazel, to a sand castle contest and even art and classic car shows, there is something for the entire family at this beach festival. In honor of Memorial Day weekend there will also be a tribute to the U.S. Armed Forces, a walk of fame induction and the U.S. Military Parachute Team will join the fun. What better way to enjoy Memorial Day weekend than watching the sunrise from the ocean? The tour costs $30 per person and lasts approximately 2 hours. There is also the Memorial Day Weekend Key Biscayne Kayak Adventure starting at 9:30 a.m. for those who aren't earlier risers. This is hosted through Miami Dade Parks Eco Adventures. This special Memorial Day observance ceremony hosted by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce is the perfect way to spend Memorial Day. The event includes presentations by the singing Miamians, a parade of color guards and remarks by Brigadier General Kevin M. Liams USMC Commander, US Marine Corps Forces, South. Alice In Wonderland Tea Party

This fun event will happen each day during Memorial Day weekend and last from noon until 4 p.m. In addition to the tea party there will be several Alice in Wonderland themed games and activities, such as Mad Hatter Hat Toss , Queen of Hearts Croquet, Army of Playing Cards and even Pin the Grin on the Cheshire Cat. There is also an IMAX 3D theater at this museum, which includes the film Alice Through The Looking Glass, so make it an all Alice in Wonderland day there by catching the movie after the tea party.
