Originally founded in 1985, the Miami City Ballet's mission is "to play a leadership role in the arts ecology of South Florida by bringing the best of dance and dance education to the region." They do so by providing the Southern Florida community with an abundance of amazing ballet performances. Their dance performance season this year includes their presentation of one of the most popular 19th century ballets, "Giselle." This hour long interactive presentation is sure to be a fun dance performance to watch. Dancer Ranjana Warier will be portraying various dances from the Indian festivals of Navaratri and Diwali. The Dollhouse Dance Factory, from Jackson, MI, will be presenting their Bring It! Tour in South Florida at the Au-Rene Theater located at The Broward Center for the Performing Arts. This fun festival includes various panels and dance workshops, all leading up to the premiere performance of "Ciudad de Orichas" (meaning City of Orichas).
