Boasting the lowest cost in the world of driver's ed courses, this driving school gives seniors, and any type of driver, the opportunity to become a safer and more confident driver with the ability to reduce insurance costs on completion of the course. The Senior Driving Discount of America course is specifically designed for drivers 55 years of age and older and is 100% online. The course is also DMV-approved, and taking it may earn you up to a 15% discount on your car insurance premiums. This driver's ed course is one of the newest, making its debut in 2014. It is customized to the student, with an easily understandable format, video and pictures to relate to. With a large population of Spanish-speaking residents, this AARP Smart Driver Course has been translated and tested for Spanish-speaking participants. A good deal of the course's focus is put on pavement markings, complying with stop signs, red-light running, speeding, buckling up and using turn signals properly. For those students who want to gain an even better understanding, there is a driver resource center, which is an interactive online resource providing tools and activities, including driving simulations, state-specific rules of the road and new vehicle technologies. At all locations that the driver's ed course is held, volunteers eagerly teach the course, sharing the wealth of knowledge that they have gained over the years.
