Top Art Walks In South Florida

Many people who live in Miami state that it is not as exciting as living in New York, Chicago or Los Angeles. But that would be only a cursory view of this city that has a thriving artistic community. Couples and families should take a break from the weekend errands to the shopping mall and instead walk around some art galleries, take part in an art class or find out when there is a gallery opening. Art colors people's lives and shows the limitless possibilities of human creativity. Attending these galleries has changed over the years where one doesn't need to be an art critic or extreme lover of art to enjoy the gallery. The administration of these galleries reaches out to the community to speak a common language to child and adult where everyone can understand and see with their own point of view

The gallery offers free 45-minute tours to the public and during Free Winter Family Days, a local artist leads a group of children and parents to immediately make art whether that's decorating a cookie, designing a card, etc.

In a play off the world-famous Art Basel project that spans Miami and Miami Beach, Basel Broward is an event shown throughout the month of December by the Tom Rosetti Gallery where residents in the Wilton Manors area can enjoy a similar viewing at the gallery. It is a show where artists have submitted their work to a jury that makes selections on who will appear, and it runs through January 4th.
