New Year's Eve is just around the corner - it's time to scope out the best events for 2014. There's nothing like Miami parties that take advantage of the beautiful scenery and attractive weather. New Year's Eve will be welcomed in style on the Musette Yacht setting sail from Bayside Marina. The five-hour event includes a four-hour cruise, open format music and an inviting buffet menu complete with dessert. W Hotel South Beach never disappoints for New Year's and this year it is featuring two big electronic DJs – Dirty South and Michael Brun –at Wet and Wall, respectively. Wet is the poolside lounge at the hotel and Wall is the nightclub/lounge inside of the W South Beach featuring state-of-the-art sound and lights on a chic and luxurious backdrop. Open bar will be offered from 9 p.m. until midnight with admission and VIP packages available as well. Wet goes on until 2 a.m. and Wall continues until 5 a.m.

Mega nightclub Club Space is an international destination in the global electronic music scene. Club Space hosts legendary New Year's Eve events every year and this year is headlined by DJ Paul Van Dyk in the main room with Paco Osuna and Hector on the terrace. There's an open bar until midnight as well as less expensive admission for guests who purchase tickets to arrive before midnight. The party goes on for many hours as part of Downtown Miami's scene of clubs with extended hours. Special performances will take place throughout the event and party favors will be distributed through the crowd. VIP packages are available for purchase.

This New Year's Eve bar crawl is quite inventive and an interesting way to ring in 2014. The check-in/registration takes place at Tobacco Road, a fun local establishment in existence for 101 years. The bar crawl continues on to the other stops on the map (all within walking distance or easily accessed via public transportation) – Red Bar Gallery, Brother Jimmy BBQ Miami, Gordon Biersch and El Vato Tequila and Taco Bar. This event ends at 4 a.m. but participants must be registered at Tobacco Road by 10 p.m. Participants receive cups, wristbands and maps.
