Wild Nights Evening Tours

Have you ever wondered what the zoo looks like at night? What do the animals really do after dark? Experience a "walk on the wild side as you explore the zoo after hours!" Get up close and personal with some of the zoo's most popular creatures and observe how they conduct themselves during the dark hours of the day. This is available for adults and children ages six and up. The event includes a pizza dinner, a behind-the-scenes peak of the animal exhibits and a souvenir. The Hippo Slide

Enjoy a slip and slide-style adventure on the zoo's Hippo Slide. The Hippo Slide is the world's largest inflatable water slide standing 36 feet high, 47 feet wide and 175 feet long – it's an experience not to be missed. The slide is a wet water adventure, open only on weekends and holidays when the temperature is 70 degrees. If you visit in the winter months, water will not be a part of the experience. Zookeeper for a Day

Considering a future working among animals? Try your hand as a zookeeper. You can spend a full day working with the zoo's expert zookeepers, feeding the animals, maintaining the exhibits and caring for the animals. You will come to fully understand all that goes on behind the scenes and different career opportunities at the zoo. Participants must 18 years of age or older and advance reservations are required. Animal Painting Experience

Move over Picasso, the animals at the zoo are taking over the art scene. Bring your kids or the whole family to create one-of-a-kind paintings with some of the most creative animals in South Florida. Humpy's Camel Rides

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to ride a camel? Discover the traditional form of transportation of ancient times in the deserts of Asia and Africa. Charlie and Fluffy are two highly trained dromedary camels ready to take you for the ride of your life. Camel rides are available for $5 per ride from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.
