THE DEFENSE

Q: Welcome to Defend Your Ride Miami. How did you pick this car?

A: I had a Cadillac before. I had a CTS 2007. When my lease was up with the old Cadillac, I tried this one and I really liked it a lot.

Q: What do you like about this one?

A: I like being up higher. I like the feeling of it. It's really a solid car. I feel like there's a lot of car around me, even if it's not actually that big. I like the way it drives. It's very comfortable. I've never been happier with a car. My dad and I went and we both got the same car. Same color outside, but he got a tan interior. I like the black interior.

Q: What else do you like about this car?

A: It has so many features on it. That's another thing I love about this car. It has a push button start. It has the powerlift gate, which is really nice. You can actually set it so it doesn't go up too high if you're in a garage. It tells you when the tires are low. It has the OnStar navigation. It has the power folding mirrors, the power seats, the power adjusting petals and it has a big, big sunroof, which I never use. I like the wood trim and the real leather.

Q: What's the farthest you've driven it?

A: Up to Boca Raton. We went to a play because my dad designed a theatre up there and sometimes we go to plays, my family and I. Sometimes I skate in Pompano at Glacier and I drive there and I drive down here. Those are the big trips I take.

Q: Tell us a little about the ice-skating.

A: I trained up north at the University of Delaware training center. It's one of the top training centers. I grew up skating with Johnny Weir and Kimmie Meissner. Johnny Weir's coach was also my coach. I went several times to sectionals. I made it to nationals. Now I'm retired. I skate for fun now.

Q: Anything else about your car?

A: You can't see it in the daylight, but it has a kind of a neat ambient lighting that goes around the dashboard and the doors. It's like a light-ish blue that follows the curve of the dashboard.
