THE DEFENSE

Q: Hi Emily! Welcome to Defend Your Ride Miami. Can you tell us about your car?

A: It's a great car! It drives totally smooth. It's very peppy. It's the perfect size, not too big, not too small. I'm really enjoying it. I had a Nissan Altima for the last nine years and that was an excellent car as well. I thought the Murano would feel bigger and it does feel somewhat bigger in the trunk, but the interior of the car feels smaller than the Altima. But it's still big enough. I like the change in shape and design.

Q: Does it drive similar to the Altima?

A: You're a little higher off the ground. So when you're going on the turnpike or at highway speeds, you don't feel as confident going quite as fast as in the Altima. I did put in a backup camera. One feature that is not perfect is the back window is very small, so it's hard to see backwards when you're going backwards. It's very helpful.

Q: Where did you buy your car?

A: Pembroke Pines Maroone Nissan. I actually bought the car through the Costco program. My husband had picked up a brochure long ago and it was lying around my house and I just called. It's very easy. It took me two hours once I went into the dealership. I was in and out.

Q: I guess that worked so well because you knew exactly what you wanted?

A: Yes. I had the Altima before so I was very familiar with how they drive. My sister has a Murano and I had driven it a few times. My husband is an American car guy. But my sister loves the Murano as well. We both went to the car show one year and we both liked the Murano.

Q: What is your car's main use?

A: I work from home and I have a child. So mostly just driving her around, back and forth to school. Going to the grocery store, going to the gym, just the normal errands.

Q: Any rules, especially with your child in the car?

A: No eating or drinking in the car. I try and keep this rule as much as possible.

Q: What's the farthest you've ever driven?

A: My husband and I drove to Naples to celebrate our anniversary. We went for a long weekend.

Q: Where's your family today?

A: They're out on the boat going to Key Largo! They're doing an all day boating adventure.

Q: Sounds great! Thanks for your time Emily.

A: Thank you!
