The second Saturday of every month a large number of galleries and studios welcome the public to view their artwork. This makes it an ideal spot to spark up an impromptu conversation with a fellow art lover. There’s plenty to talk about thanks to the variety of work that’s showcased. The studios and galleries open from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. and best of all it’s free.

Nearly every night this locally-owned bookstore features some of the brightest, high-profile or entertaining authors of our time. From Humorist Dave Barry to Gary Dell’Abate (aka Baba Booey), the book readings are usually free. This bookstore has hosted a number of high-profile personalities including former President Bill Clinton his former Secretary of State Madeline Albright. It also offers a restaurant and coffee shop — both great places to sit back, flip through a book while scanning the crowd.

This is a great place to kick up those boots and learn free country line dancing with a mixed crowd of men and women. It’s a place where cowboy hats and ropes are part of the decor. Even non-country fans flock to the Round Up for their drinks and the diversity of the crowd. Each night features new promotions from Beer Pong Thursdays to Ladies Night Wednesdays and Fridays.
