A&M Comics is a Miami mainstay for comic books lovers. It's one of the oldest comic book shops in the country. When it comes to collectibles, this place is no joke. Its ambiance is part of its charm - it's dark and filled with boxes. Warning: if you hate clutter, stay away! Despite its messy appearance, A&M is definitely one of the best comic book stores in Miami. It has more than 80,000 comic books and 2,000 toys. It has so many die-hard fans in part because of its owner Jorge Perez and his willingness to help you find whatever you need. If you're looking for something a little more organized, try Mac's Comics & Collectibles. It specializes in new weekly comic releases from major comic publishers. It also sells back-issue comics, statues and vintage collectibles. What makes this place one of the best comic shops in Miami is its wide selection of comics and graphic novels. Prices are competitive and the staff is top notch. Note: the store is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Villain's Comic Book Shop

1788 N.E. 163rd Street
North Miami Beach, FL 33162
(305) 944-4773

This shop, formerly known as Superheroes Unlimited, is located in the heart of North Miami Beach. Even though it's on the main street, Villain's is kind of small and somewhat easy to miss. A word to the wise: park behind the store. If you want to have the place to yourself, stop by on a Monday or Tuesday. On Wednesdays, when new shipments come in, things really pick up and it gets crowded. The store is open seven days a week. This store doesn't have a website (what's up with that?) But you can search for Villains Comics and Games to find their Facebook page. Hours: Monday and Tuesday, noon to 8 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, noon to midnight; Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.
