Whether you’re a high-roller or an occasional gambler looking to turn $10 into $20, South Florida has several table games, no-limit poker and, yes, the good old fashioned one-armed bandits. Some casinos even offer free drinks as long as you’re gambling. Here’s a list of places where you can get your game on:

DRINKS ARE NOT FREE AT THE SLOT IN Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood.

  • Ray

As explained above alcoholic drinks are NOT free. Coffee and water are. Service is awful. Slot machines have been tightened as to have a lowered payout within the past 6 months, helping to leverage their expansion. Promotions are very limited as compared to the past and their players club incentives are very minimal. As a gambler, I hate The Seminoles and can only wish that Florida wakes up and allows full casinos lie in Las Vegas.

That list of “best casinos” is a joke.

Best list of casinos who paid to be mentioned maybe.

  • Gary Scott

    None of the above

I am an avid slot player and have been for years. As long as you maintain a budget and have the will power to leave if you lose, you are fine. It’s all luck, but I have had the highest payouts at Calder. Mardi Gras and Gulfstream can be good, especially when crowded. At the Hard Rock, I never left there with more money than I came with, and that was probably 50 or so times. I have seen big payouts though.
I hate magic city and Miccosukee. Probably because I don’t speak Spanish and no one in the places speaks English. People are also rude at Miccosukee. Awful payouts for me also at those 2 casinos.

I believe the that slots at the seminal hard rock is set at 51% pay back…. when Florida gaming regulations require a minimum payback of 85% on all gaming machines.for there slot machines…….please investigate the matter….

    • Dave

The Indian properties are NOT required to report to the state, their payout; though they still need to follow the percentage which is around 92%. Another thing to remember is that these are designed to keep money and payout once in a blue moon. They do pay, just not all the time. Most of the public; Isle, Calder, etc., have busy nights on the weekends. When this happens, the RNG (Random Number Generator) works A LOT and therefore you may get closer to a decent pay out. When it is NOT busy, you’re on your own and luck is even less. Slots have the highest house “keep”; also, and lastly, the higher the denomination, the more likely (again, random, not guaranteed!) you will be paid. It all depends on your bankroll. Have fun and keep it that way.

I don’t spend a lot when I go to a casino. I enjoy the slot machines and rate a casino for how long they let you play. I certainly don’t play for a large payout but for the small payouts that allow me play for a few hours. Seminole at Coconut Creek is better than most. But I’ll never go back to the casino in Tampa. After playing their twice, I left feeling cheated.

  • Mikey

Not much of a slots player, prefer poker. I’ve found the best poker room for comfort to be Calder. High hand payouts at Calder on W/E’s are presently $500 every 30 minutes. Buffets are on an equal basis between the Isle and Coconut Creek. Mardi Gras is tighest with their rules at the poker table, even though most casino’s are very similar. Just a few unrequested and very lucid comments.

What about the Miccosuki one on Krome and 8th street?

    • Me

Being an English only speaker and not “getting” the rudeness of the Spanish people in general, I stay away from Miccosukee. I had people purposely blow smoke in my face there and have had a few people talk to me in Spanish and get very mad at me because I didn’t understand what they were saying. It’s like a third world casino. I played a few hundred dollars there and should have just flushed it down the toilet.

    • QI77

There is a reason they did not put Miccosuki on the list … it is a dump !
I tried it last year as it is close by … What a mistake !!
If you SMOKE is great you do not even have to light up … just breathe in …
definately the worst airfiltration system of any South Florida Casino
In addition the Slot machines were old, broken with missing buttons and dirty
The Isle in Pompano is by far the cleanest and close to Vegas style … second on my list Seminole Hard Rock

  • Slick Willie

This story was a waste of time I wanted to know who was best and why

  • Jim Winterfield

Hardrock Casinos are tight , no free drinks like the Seneca casinos in upstate NY . They have good comps , ie, rooms , meals . cashback , much better than Seminlo Tribe
