Sometimes we all have to hit the road via one of the international airports in South Florida. But when you go, you may not have time to eat at home before you leave. Not a problem, just hit up one of these restaurants/cafés/bars in the airport and you’ll be flying with a full belly.

Café Versailles (Miami International Airport)

Just like its namesake, Café Versailles will get you the best Cuban food in Miami International Airport. It’s great for lunch and offers both eat-in and take-out services. And when you are about to fly, you always need a fresh shot of Cuban coffee to stay awake for the flight, and Café Versailles will definitely help you with that.

Cuban Cuisine will have you drooling as you board the plane at Miami International Airport. You can grab a full entrée or something quick to carry on the plane with you and just like Café Versailles, a good shot of Cuban coffee is always available to really get you up before the flight.

Sushi Maki (Miami International Airport)

From Spring Rolls and Salmon Miso to Sushi Tacos and Kobe Beef sliders, Sushi Maki has a little something for everyone on its express menu. Located in Terminal D, Sushi Maki is an offshoot of the restaurant of the same name founded in South Florida. For you non-fish lovers out there, try the Shrimp Tempura noodles with fresh vegetables.

Islander Bar & Grill (Miami International Airport)

Another Terminal D favorite is the Islander Bar & Grill. You can go for the Big Game Dolphin Sandwich, or a nice Jamaican Jerk Chicken sandwich. The service is second to none in the airport and they are open 10am-10pm daily and located near gate D49.

Pasha’s Mediterranean (Fort Lauderdale International Airport)

With locations in South Beach, Brickell Avenue, and the Design District, you know Pasha’s has to bring the very best Mediterranean cuisine to the menu. Pasha’s claims a menu with no additives, no preservatives, no trans fats, and no MSG.
