Tale Of The Tape: Heat Big 3 Vs. Spurs Big 3

Everyone wants to talk about the “Big Three” in Miami. They guaranteed multiple titles when they formed in 2010. Meanwhile, they are taking on another “Big Three” in San Antonio in the NBA Finals for a second straight year. The Spurs wanted revenge and they are a win away from their fifth NBA title and sending the Heat home. Let’s take a look at which “Big Three” gets the edge now.

Dwyane Wade vs Tony Parker
Dwyane Wade has had himself quite the career in Miami. He teamed up with Shaq to win a title in 2006. LeBron James and Chris Bosh formed the Big Three in 2011. Wade would win two more in 2012 and 2013. While he's undoubtedly had a wonderful career, he has been rattled by injuries throughout his career.
Winner Tony Parker is the most under-appreciated point guard in the NBA. He's the ultimate distributor and never looks to shoot first. He can get to the rack when he needs to and he can make a mid-range jumper when they leave him open. He's also about to get his fourth NBA title, which has Wade beat.
LeBron James vs Manu Ginobili
Winner LeBron James is the best player on the planet. This one is easy.
Manu Ginobili has had a very impressive career and has been nothing but a winner with the Spurs. You can't compare him to King James, though.
Chris Bosh vs Tim Duncan
Chris Bosh gets criticized sometimes by a lot of people, but he's a very good player. He's expanded his game and become a threat from three-point range, making it tough for big man to stop him. It's Timmy D, though.
Winner Tim Duncan is nothing but a professional. Nobody handles themselves better on and off the court than The Big Fundamental. He's on his way to a fifth NBA title. An All Star, a professional, and a champion. Not much more you can ask.

The Spurs have established a dynasty since Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan got here. It's absolutely remarkable what they have done. The Big Three in Miami guaranteed several NBA titles. They did a nice job getting two, but it seems like their run is over. King James may stick around and Wade might, but it's hard to see all three in the same lineup next season. The Spurs get the edge in this one.
