Football
Pro football is fast becoming a year-round endeavor. May brings us the NFL Draft (at least this year), followed closely by team rookie camps. College players have turned their attention to exams, theoretically. No actual games are played.
Winner The pro and college seasons are going full tilt in October, with regular season games all weekend and most weeknights. Football pretty much takes over.
Basketball
Winner The college season ends in April, but the NBA Playoffs are going strong with the conference semifinals and finals. Because only the best teams remain, these games tend to be some of the most exciting of the season.
NBA and NCAA basketball are just getting ready to tip off. Midnight Madness at many schools marks the opening of official team practices. The NBA preseason gives way to the regular season at the end of the month.
Baseball
May is one damn fine month to be working outdoors, or playing baseball. The Major League season is in full swing, and every team (except the Mets) is generally still in the hunt.
Winner October is playoff time in MLB. While a 162-games season can drag a little, the mini-seasons, with series between baseball's best, make it all worthwhile.
Hockey
Winner Hockey, in May? The weather is heating up, but so too are the NHL playoffs. And playoff hockey is about as exciting as sports get.
Seem like the Stanley Cup was just presented? Well, the NHL gets right back to it in October, with a full slate of games to open the month.

We'll Just Call it a Tie

May and October are two of the best months for sports… perhaps the best even. There's almost too much going on across the sports world to keep up. But picking a winner depends on your favorite sport(s). Just like we can't will our favorite team to win, we can't break this tie for you. The good news, however, is you can't lose.

Tale of the Tape: Orange Bowl vs. Sun Life Stadium

With a new football season finally here, fans once again have the opportunity to go out and cheer on their favorite teams. In South Florida, attending football games has been a tradition for several generations despite the extreme heat which has always been a negative factor for opposing teams but not so much the locals. The majority of football fans down here have had the opportunity to attend games at Sun Life Stadium and the old Orange Bowl. The two venues couldn’t be more different as both have always had their positives and negatives, but which one is better?

While Jay Cutler lacks consistency, he is capable of taking over any game and carrying the Bears with his strong arm when he gets on a roll.

The Steelers are a veteran team that should understand how to play in a big game, but they appeared unprepared for their Week Two game with the Baltimore Ravens.
