The sport of kings returns to South Florida as the Maserati Miami Beach World Cup Polo takes to the sands of South Beach April 26-29.
After a 4 day standoff, local programs and shows on The CW network returned to the screens of South Florida DirecTV customers after the satellite service and the Tribune company reached an agreement allowing DirectTV to carry Tribune’s TV stations, including WSFL 39 in South Florida.
DirecTV subscribers in South Florida may miss upcoming episodes “Vampire Diaries” and “America’s Top Model” if the company can’t work out a deal with WSFL-Ch. 39’s parent company Tribune Co.
South Florida FOX affiliate WSVN will now be able to be seen in homes with a DirecTV subscription.
DirectTV customers who wanted to watch the weekends NFL play off games on WSVN were out of luck.
As a run up to this weekend’s AMG Miami Beach World Cup Polo matches, several South Florida reporters who have never played polo before got together on Monday for an exhibition match with some of the pros.
