Scott’s Budget Vetoes Target South Florida Hard
Florida’s almost $70-billion dollar budget funds critical statewide services, adds a little extra to education and should help the state maintain a solid credit rating, but South Florida took a big punch from Governor Rick Scott’s veto pen to the tune of $25 million.
Scott Vetoes $142 Million In State Funding
Florida Governor Rick Scott signed the new state budget that will cost roughly $70 billion Tuesday. But, Scott also vetoed more than $140 million in spending for various programs including several key programs in South Florida.
