As part of a joint effort between CBS4 and the Miami Dolphins, a total of $45,000 has been raised for the South Florida Region American Red Cross for Superstorm Sandy relief efforts.
It’s been almost a week since Superstorm Sandy made landfall along the Northeast coast. In some areas of the region life is getting back to normal but many people still lack electric power and are in desperate need of fuel and other necessities.
The death toll from Sandy continues to climb. At least 90 people have been killed from the Superstorm and the road to recovery is going to be a long and hard journey.
The so-called Superstorm has long passed, but residents in lower Manhattan are picking up the pieces of what Sandy left behind.
Superstorm Sandy has left a massive path of destruction across several states, including hard hit New Jersey.
