Space Shuttle Discovery Arrives At New Home

Space Shuttle Discovery is settling into its new home just outside Washington, DC. Discovery was lifted off its Boeing 747 carrier Thursday and towed to the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum annex in northern Virginia.

It was a different kind of flight for Space Shuttle Discovery Tuesday as it hitched a ride from the Kennedy Space Center to Washington, D.C. mounted atop a 747.
