In what is being seen as another miss-step for the cruising industry, Royal Caribbean’s signature ship the Allure of the Seas reported a “small and short-lived engine fire,” a spokeswoman told CBS4 News partner The Miami Herald.

Navy To Commission New Ship In Key West

The newest member of the US Naval Fleet will be officially commissioned Saturday in Key West. The USS Spruance, a guided missile destroyer, will officially join the fleet in ceremonies at the US Naval Air Station in Key West.


The 72-year-old Western Union sails off Key West, Fla., Saturday, April 9, 2011, following a $1.25 million, three-year refurbishment program. Built and launched in Key West in 1939, the 130-foot-long schooner is believed to be the world's only surviving sailing telegraph cable ship according to maritime historians.
