Seau Had Degenerative Brain Disease

Junior Seau, one of the NFL’s best and fiercest players for nearly two decades, had a degenerative brain disease when he committed suicide last May, the National Institutes of Health told The Associated Press on Thursday.

Seau’s Family To Donate Brain For Research

The family of the late Junior Seau has decided to donate the former NFL stars brain to researchers looking for evidence of damage as the result of concussions, according to the San Diego Chargers team chaplain Shawn Mitchell.
